Sarah Millar is a partner in and chair of the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice group at DBR. Sarah’s core practice centers on counseling public, private and non-profit companies and organizations on optimal solutions in managing and administering health and welfare benefits, retirement plans, and non-qualified plans. She guides clients on the design, implementation and operation of benefit plans to ensure consistency with plan terms and compliance with ERISA and tax code requirements. She routinely advises clients on the correction of operational issues, DOL investigations, and IRS audits.  Sarah also provides advice on fiduciary governance matters, routinely advising corporate boards, investment committees and related parties on best practices and mitigating risks. When counseling clients, she focuses on identifying solutions that not only effectively manage identified compliance issues, but also takes into account the client’s unique business needs and employee relations concerns.  Sarah is a frequent presenter on legal issues related to employer-sponsored employee benefit plans.
